Taking Control of my fitness changed my life

Following my second pregnancy I developed an under-active thyroid, combined with a poorly little one my health, both mental and physical, was in bad shape. I decided to make a change and stumbled into my local gym. There I met Abi (pictured) who inspired me to give exercising a proper go. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her patient guidance got me on the right track. Over the next 5 months I lost 5 stone and felt better than ever. I’ve since run 3 half marathons, completed 4 wolf runs, and exercise is a regular feature of my day. Now I compete in functional fitness competitions across the country and they are the highlights of my year.

Family life is busy, but getting exercise in is always a priority to me. It’s the thing that shapes my week, and helps me be the best mum, wife and friend that I can be. During the week I teach four classes a week at Fitbox 25, run with a local running buddy, ensure I have 3 or 4 strength sessions and keep up with my own Personal Training with Steve at the Fitbox 25 Studio.
